These tests indicate we are very closely related, but no one can make definite genealogical connections. I believe these men all descend from forebears in Dunn's Creek (Cape Fear NC) or are closely related to them. Can you help me identify Dunn surnamed men you know descend from Benjamin Dunn who will be willing to undergo the genetic testing. Benjamin Dunn who went to GA with his wife Sarah almost certainly belongs to this group, but we have not yet been able to connect him in public records. It's a simple, non-invasive test, involving swabing the inside of one's mouth and sending the swab off to a lab. I believe we should use every means at our disposal in our genealogical research. Y-DNA testing for genealogical application is a new and rapidly developing tool for us. To date we have no DNA data from known desce! ndants of Benjamin Dunn.
