He was born approx 1804 in NC. We think in Anson County, but not sure. He did live in Anson County by the 1850 census. His children were Simon Edward, Thomas A, John B, William Hampton, Jesse and daughter Margaret. They moved to Choctaw, AL sometime in 1857-1858. Could this be the uncle you referred to?
