My Dunn line (and branches thereof) was in Craven, Beaufort, Wayne, Johnston, Pitt and probably Onslow, Duplin and Jones counties in NC. Good luck with the research. Glover, Thomas Cary, John Porter, Francis Foster, John Hawkins 1709 Perquemines Co NC account for Thomas Cary Perquimines proved 12 Apr 1715 Thomas Cary was attached to answer Ann Wilson widow and adminx of Issac Wilson dec'd re debt. 1712 Bath Co NC George Birkenhead appraised (same list as 18 Sep 1712) 1712 Sep 18 Albemarle NC inventory of George Burckenhead by Joel Martin, William Gray (Graye), John Jordan, mentions Col. Thomas Cary 1713 Jul 17 York Co deposition of John Smith re bill of sale produced by Miles Cary to which Smith was witness, present were Miles Cary, James Bates, Mrs. Ann Akehurst; Mr Cary and Mrs. Akehurts were barbaining about a Negro. 1713 Jul 18 Warwick Co deposition of Thomas Cary of Warwick Co age 43, deponent lived at house of Daniel Akehurst dec'd of VA in 1695 where said negro boy Stephen belonging to said Akehurst, who had bee sold to Miles Cary Jr of said county by Anne Akehurst the widow execx of Daniel Akehurst. 1713 Jul 18 Warwick Co deposition of Miles Cary the elder of Warwick Co age 42, mentions negro Stephand and Akehurst, sworn by William Cole case 1713 Jul 18 Warwick Co deposition of Elizabeth Cary of Warwick Co age 34, came to Daniel Akehurst house in said county in 1695, there was a negro boy Stephen and sd negro had never been out of the county, sworn by William Cole. 1717 Dec 28 NC (county?)
