Author: BobEllis15 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.dunn/2188.2192.1.2.2.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I think this may be of interest to some of you Nehemiah Dunn & Others to John Pittman State of Georgia This Indenture made the 22nd day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four and in the twenty ninth year of American Independence between Nehemiah Dunn, Isaac Penson, Samuel Mains, Alexandria Angelly, Thomas Johnson, Joseph Dunn, Benjamin Dunn, Thomas Dunn, Mary Dunn, Abruham Ricketson and John Baker of the County of Columbia in the State aforesaid on the one part and John Pittman of the said State and County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Nehemiah Dunn, Isaac Penson, Samuel Mains, Alexandria Angelly, Thomas Johnson, Joseph Dunn, Benjamin Dunn, Thomas Dunn, Mary Dunn, Abruham Ricketson and John Baker for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said John Pittman before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and delivered and by these presence do grant bargain sell and deliver unto John Pittman aforesaid h! is heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county and state aforesaid containing estimation two hundred acres be the same more or less butting and bounding northwesterly by unknown and Cartledges land, southwestwardly by Fews land, southeastwardly by Middletons, northwestwardly by vacant land when surveyed originally granted to Sarah Dunn in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred eighty six together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances therein whatsoever to the said tract of land belonging in anywise appertaining To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and all and singular the premises aforesaid and every part thereunto the said John Pittman his heirs and assigns and to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof in fee simple forever and the said Nehemiah Dunn, Isaac Pinson, Samuel Mains, Alexandria Angelly, Thomas Johnson, Joseph Dunn, Benjamin Dunn, Thomas Dunn, Abruham Ricketson and John B! aker and all and either of them their heirs executors administrators t he said tract or parcel of land and premises as aforesaid to him the said John Pittman heirs and assigns against them or either of them their heirs executors or administrators and all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said parties aforesaid hath hereunto set their hands and seals this day and year first above written.
