They married in Rutherford County, TN, in 1872 and are on the 1880 census there with children, Hugh, Cloyd H. (probably Claude), Mattie C., and John. I next believe I have found Lillie in New Madrid, MO, in 1900 with children, Claude, Clemie, John B., Josie, Lee C., Wess D., and Gerta. I can't find any of the family after that. If anyone can connect me to other records or knows of this family, please help. Thank you. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This is what I know for sure so far: John Dunn was born about 1826 (don't know where as yet) & he died aged 66 on 21 Oct 1892, Hobart, Tasmania. He married Ann McDonald, born about 1835 (don't know where as yet)on 28 Oct 1852, Hobart. They had 10 children: Patrick, born 24 may 1854, Ellen 10 May 1856, Mary 14 Jul 1865, William David 7 Jun 1867, James Joseph 19 Mar 1869, Margaret Ellen 3 Aug 1870, Alice Jane 12 Jun 1872 & a couple of un-named children in 1858, 1860 & 1862, all in Hobart. What I'd like to know is where was John & Ann born? Ann is sometimes spelt Anne MacDonald as well. Regards, Mike. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I know this is a reply to a very old thread so I'm sure you've probably sorted things out by now. I have some letters from the 1940's from a Mary M. Starritt (of Richmond, VA) to my grandfather. They were corresponding about Dunn genealogy. Should I assume this Mary Starrit is connected to you? I'd be happy to send you scans of the letters.
