Nancy White 1823) that the I have a record of the family in KY All records from that point on I have show them in Lawrence, Co, The John Dunn I'm looking for was born in Alabama, and I really know nothing about his family. You mentioned VanHorn in your surname research and not many people are tracing that one. A Samuel VanHorn (b. 1751 in Pa) married a Margaret Dunn and they moved to Henry County, Ky about 1806. Samuel was a veteran of the Rev. War and applied for a pension, which he received. He lived to be 100 yrs old. Margaret Dunn was a sister to my John Dunn (1752 in Ireland) and was the son of James Dunn (1724) and Martha Long. Any possible connection?
Hi - noticd your Dunn and Van Hornes-they are ours, also, and someone from San Diego placed the names of our Dunns in the LDS Church out there-don't have the stuff right at my fingertips this moment, but have his name. Don't know how old the info is as my brother who lives there tried to contact him with no luck. Our group of Dunns started as far back as we have traced thus far, to James who came from Ireland before the Revolutionary War. John is definitely a family name as is Robert. If you are interested please contact me-I know other members of our Dunn group will be watching this mailing. Happy new year-Roslyn ----- Original Message

Hello, I am new to this list. I'm researching Dunn's in Pleasants and Harrison Counties, WV. Margaret Ella Dunn Was born in Pleasants about 1856. Her older sister Martha was born in harrison county 1852. Their parents are Thomas b.1801 d. 1859 and Rebecca (spencer) b.1816. I am having trouble finding this family in harrison county. Some of the information I have comes from the Hardesty's Biographical Atlas. I don't know how accurate this information is. Is anyone out there researching this same family? TIA Margaret

Surnames: Dunn, Mackey, Satterfield Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hlT.2ACEB/2781 Message Board Post: I'm seeking information on Adelissa/Adalissa/Adaline/Alcy Mildred Dunn. I don't know just when she was born but she married Robert Mackey in Caldwell County, KY on August 6, 1845. I suspect she fits in somewhere with the very large Dunn group there in Caldwell, especially since her daughter, Pernecia Ann Mackey married a Thomas R. Satterfield then later married James Rufus Dunn, son of Francis M Dunn and Susan Elizbeth Dunn, whom I believe to be his cousin. I found the following Mackey births and hope these are helpful in identifying Adelissa: Mackey births: Mackey, George P, born 10/25/1859, parents Robert Mackey and Alcy M Dunn. Mackey, Lizetta, born 10/10/1852, parents Robert Mackey and Adaline M Dunn. Mackery, M J, born 1/27/1855, parents Robert Makery and Mildred Dunn. If any of the names here right a bell, please let me know! Denise Price Boyd
