I am also looking for Dunns from Alabama, Isaac Dunn born 1780-90, unknown where, think he came from a large family, lots of brothers, no names and no parents names. This is a poor family so no land or will records have been found so far. Isaac and wife, Julia McGrew/McGraw were settled in Darke Co OH by 1817. If you run across anything that sounds like it might be this bunch would appreciate any help. I'm seeking information on Adelissa/Adalissa/Adaline/Alcy Mildred Dunn. I don't know just when she was born but she married Robert Mackey in Caldwell County, KY on August 6, 1845. I suspect she fits in somewhere with the very large Dunn group there in Caldwell, especially since her daughter, Pernecia Ann Mackey married a Thomas R. Satterfield then later married James Rufus Dunn, son of Francis (Frank) M Dunn and Susan Elizbeth Dunn (whom I believe to be Frank's cousin. I found the following Mackey births and hope these may be helpful in identifying Adelissa: Mackey births: Mackey, George P, born 10/25/1859, parents Robert Mackey and Alcy M Dunn. My James M Dunn was born in 1854 in KY, at least that is what he said on the 1880 census. He was living in Howell Co, MO then with family and his Divorced mother, Nancy Dunn, whe was born in KY in 1820.. Nancy's parents were born in NC. James's wife Nancy Henderson was born in GA in 1857. They were married, I think in Fulton Co, AR, where her mother lived. He used Mark as his middle name. There is a M. M. Dunn living in Fulton, who was born in KY in 1819 and his parents were born in NC. On the 1900 census James M. Dunn is in Cleburne Co, AR. On the 1900 census he says that he was born in 1850. He is gone in the 1910 census.
