    3. Mike, If you could post what you have on your Dunn line that would be nice. My Dunn line is from North Carolina in the 1700,s. I have been told we have Indian in us. A statement from another part of the family from an old timer basically was don't forget you Dunn,s got Indian in you. No proof. No clues. So who was William Dunn,s wife or wives. He may have been born about 1735.He is said to have died in GA in 1811. His second wife may have been named Olive. One son Joseph Dunn born in 1755 married into the Long family of Rutherford Co. North Carolina. He ended up in western KY. Maybe had 13 kids. There is where the Indian statement occurred. Kelly Dunn

    2. List: I am still looking for any information for Carrie Copola (or Kopola) Dunn born 1864 and is of indian decent. Not sure of birth state, maybe KY,TN or GA. She went to MS as a young girl. I have looked at hundreds of census with no luck and was hoping some of you have noticed a Carrie. Appreciate any lead or suggestion. RuFlem1@aol.com Thanks, Ruth

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hlT.2ACEB/2294.1.1.1.2 Message Board Post: My family is the one that came from Rockingham Co., VA. They moved there from PA. Originally came to US in 1763 (James and Martha Long Dunn with 2/3 of their children ((Samuel, James, and maybe Nathaniel)) to PA from County Derry Ireland. James was a Linen Merchant and left Ireland because of taxation. They stayed in PA for a short time and then moved to Rockingham Co., VA. where James had a friend from Ireland living (James Brewster). They moved to Ky. sometime around late 1700's and from there they moved to Indiana and points south (Arkansas). Samuel, James's first son is my direct line and his line of this family is well documented. However, his first son (also named James) is more of a mystery. I know he married Elizabeth Hopkins and they had children. I come in again later with their son John who had a David, who had James, who had David, who had my mother in Arkansas. Hope this isn't too confusing and that it has helped you in some way. Peggy

All my maternal lines have been centered in/around the Pennsylvania areas mentioned in your email, before moving to southeastern Nebraska. My ROBERT DUNN was married to REBECCA DOWDEN & they had a daughter MARY FRANCIS DUNN (1870-1946). She was my great-grandmother & married 1st my great-grandfather William M "Willie" Brown (1867-1889), then 2nd George Layman, after Willie died in a railroad accident at the age of 21 yrs. Mary Francis was pregnant with my grandfather at the time of his death. We suspect that WILLIAM DUNN married a Native American woman in Nebraska, named LITTLE FAWN, known by the Christian name of Mary. There are many family stories/memories about Grandpa's Indian connection, non-documented yet. This would have all happened in the area around Table Rock Nebraska. Does any of this sound familiar & hopefully make a connection? Sherry in Colorado
