Further research has established a family connection with Indian Heritage. Nancy Elizabeth Blakely born in South Carolina and daughter of John Blakely and Elizabeth Smith is said to have been either 1/2 or full blooded Choctaw Indian per family records. She married Jacob C. Lee who was born in North Carolina. Their oldest daughter, Clarissa Lee married Arthur Anderson Ross. Their daughter Lily Iva Ross married Mora Wilson Green, Sr. and their daughter Grace Wenona Green married Oscar Dunn in Texas. Oscar was the son of Peter S "Gus" Dunn of Texas who immigrated from Ireland in the late 1860's at the age of about 8 years. I know the Lee family lived in Mississippi as of 1834 when Clarissa was born and Ross family lived in the Louisiana area as of 1827. There is a notation that the Ross family came from Kentucky but I have no additional information. If you could check the Blakely, Ross and Lee family names against the information you have, maybe we can find a connection with their particular tribe. Thank you so very much! Undunn@sisna.com
