Or at least the year they were born. The more information you can share about the people you are looking for, the better. However, giving information about people who are currently alive is very dangerous these days since people often take the information and use it for ID theft. I don't have anyone by this name in my direct line as far as I know. But if you give more information about the older ancestors, someone here may be able to connect to you. Barb

I have located them on the 1910 census in Beaver County, Oklahoma Grand Valley Township. Malendeth registered for the WW I drft on 9-12-19198. I know they had two children (Delores C. and Vernon L.). I have not located any of the family on the 1920 census. Am endeavoring to determine when Malendeth died and where he is buried.

I tried to access your website, but it appears to be inactive. I am seeking information on John & Mary Dunn, both from Ireland, who resided in Wigan per the 1851 census. It could just be coincidence, but I think there is a possibility that they may be a branch of your Dunn line that immigrated in the 1840's. The 1841 census does not appear to list them anywhere. Do you have further information on the Dunns or do you have a new website? Children of John & Mary at that time are: John, Patrick, Charles & Mary By 1861 they were all living in Sheffield. Thanks, Linda

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hlT.2ACEB/3693.1.2.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I actually did not get any of the messages. My e-mail again is [email protected] I got that information from Catholic records. In the 1870 census, Louisa is mentioned. I at first thought that they had just miswrote Lucretia's name because they were approximately the same age. I have not found a child named William that could account for the marriage to Lucretia, so have assumed Louisa was married to William of 1817. They ended up having I believe 3 children, though they all disappear after William moves in with John (or vice versa). My thought is that possibly with William's age (he would've been close to 60 when Louisa died), a relative of hers may have taken the children, though I found no record of them period after the 1870 census (not even as a Dunn in another household). Censi are not foolproof, but usually if someone has a different name in a household they will put that name in. I also know Lucretia was the official witness at the wedding, so there is definitely some connection there. The other thing could be since Louisa was not Catholic! , there could've been some hard feelings among the siblings about that. Lucretia married a protestant, which may be why she was the official witness. She may not have had the negative feelings (although Lucretia did die at her sister Susan's house... and Susan definitely was Catholic, so I don't know if that would be the case). I can send you the names of William and Louisa's children if you like (at least the ones that were born up until 1869 *a couple were born after that*) I have several sets of Catholic records I can go through. By the way, according to the "Portrait and Cyclopedia of Cambria County" article about Susan Dunn Saly (who married Peter Saly), William was of Irish heritage. There are a few Dunn's I've found in the records, but nothing to prove or disprove a relationship between them and William. Deb.

I sent a couple of messages to the email account you left. i hope you received them. The one had William Dunn's obituary information. He died as you said at his son John's house on July 8, 1903. John is my wife's ggrandfather. William's obit can be found at: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/pa/blair/obits/d1/dunn-william.txt It said he was 86 years, 5 months and 4 days old. That would put his birthday in Feb 1817. If I remember correctly you mentioned that William was married 3 times. The last time to Louisa. I cannot find any information on that in any of the census figures. In the 1880 census John lived with him on the house on Market street. In 1900 William lived with John in the same house (i think it's the same). My father-in-law remembers all of John's brother and sisters and many of the other family members but he doesn't remember any of Louisa's children. Where did you get the marraige information? Thanks again for the information. Very helpful

John was their first born in 1853 and he married Elizabeth Noll (b1855) around 1870. They had 9 children: Mary, John, William, Charles, Lee, Bernadine, Edna, Arthur, and Rosella. Their 3rd child William is my wife's grandfather. William married Estella Frank in 1904 and they had 3 children: Catherine, Paul and William (my wife's father). William married Shirley Leonard and they had 3 children: Robert, Ann and Karen (my wife - it's always the 3rd child). According to my father-in-law he visited the house in Duncansville on Market street where his father grew up many times when he was young. His aunt Mary (John and Elizabeth's first child) still lived there and ran or owned the millinary store in town. He doesn't have any of the old photos anymore but is trying to track them down. He knew about St. Patrick's church in Newry and attended services there as a child when they visited Duncansville. I am very interested in any information about his ggrandfather William Dunn b1817. I have read the articles about Lucretia and her mother Mary that you have written. If you have any information on my wife's ggrandfather John I would be interested. I hope to hear from you...
