    3. Lynne: That would be great. I am the person who is looking for a death in Delta County. Malendeth Alfred Dunn (sometimes called Richard, Dick, or Calvin) was married to Mable Louise Kettell/Kittell circa 1906. They had four children (b.1908, 1910, 1914, & 1920 in Beaver Co., OK). Circa 1920 they moved to Delta Co., CO. I found the married daughter living in Delta, Delta Co., CO on the 1930 census and the youngest son was living with her. The father and the two older sons were visiting in WA at the time. The oldest son died 8-25-1932 In NM of appencidicitis. His father was the informant on the death certificate and listed Delta, CO as his place of residence as well as his son. I am endeavoring to determine if Malendeth Alfred Dunn and his wife, Mable Louise Dunn, died in Delta County. If a record of their death is found in Delta County, I would like to otbain an informational copy of the death certificate and will gladly reimburse for the expense of copies, postage, parking. Thank you so much for checking on this for me. Liz Freeman 3388 Del Aire Place Del City, OK 73115 [email protected] wrote: In a message several days ago the person asked about a death in Delta Co. Surnames: Dunn, Dunne, Miller, Nicleye Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hlT.2ACEB/4031.1 Message Board Post: At last! I found a Mississippi Dunn! My maternal grandmother was Edna G. (Poss. Gertrude) Dunn. She was found in the Census in 1900 as a toddler, living with a grandmother. She was born sometime around 1897, 1898. She is found again, living in Hamlin, Jones Co. TX. By then, she was married to Jess I. Miller, wo was born in TX. I don't know when or where they married. In the 1920 census, they are shown as having one child, my aunt Edna Marguerite. My mother was born May 18,1920 in Hamlin. There is no record again until 1930, as the family had moved to Long Beach CA by 1930. Jess is listed in the 1930 census as divorced. But Edna maintained their phone records together, as I found them in the 1933 phone book for Long Beach, CA. In 1933, both girls were at home alone when the 1933 Long Beach Earthquake struck. They survivied, and Edna finally managed to get hom from a shattered LA-Long Beach. After that, I have no other records. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have access to the early census records for the Abbeville area via computer? If not, I can access all of them and would be happy to do the lookups for you. I did find a James Dunn listed in the 1790 census record for Abbeville by the way, and found your Gr g father listed in the 1850 census at 4 years of age. (Saluda Regiment, Abbeville, SC). There are also some marriage records for your Dunn family available via Ancestry.com.

They had four children (Dolores, Vernon, Charles David, and George). It is believed that Malendeth died in Delta Co., CO. He was alive on 8-25-1932 but I have found no record of him after that. 3. Have established a new mailing list at Yahoo for the surname Norton This list is for those researching the Norton name in Ireland and/or Scotland. I have selected Yahoo at this time since it is easier to manage and set-up, this is my first excursion as a list administrator. The list is in addition to the primary Norton List on Rootsweb, that list deals with all areas but heavy on the Norton's who migrated to North America. So if you have any interest in the surname for those born in Ireland or Scotland please feel free to join, a combined effort may be able to break down those brick walls. ------------------- norton-roots ยท Norton - roots Ireland or Scotland http://groups.yahoo.com/group/norton-roots/ [email protected] ----------------------- Thanks Bob Cdn.
