Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hlT.2ACEB/3063.4.1.1 Message Board Post: Sheri, I'm sorry I can't be of much help to you. I do descend from one of the many William Dunns in Eastern Tennessee. It took me 3 years to determine just which one it was. He turned out to be the one referred to as Bristol William because he was born in Bristol, England in 1751 (Pension Papers). I have not followed all his children's families forward to present time so we might be related or not. I am from William's son Thomas Dunn & Ellen Chambers to William H. Dunn & Ann Eliza Boyd to Robert Thomas Dunn & Martha Jane Clark to Fannie Belle Dunn & William Hamilton Holder to Richard Ray Holder & Della Bruner to ME. Thus William Dunn was my 4th G Grandfather. There is not an Isabelle in my line, however one of Bristol William's daughter was named Isabel, so one of the brothers might have a daughter or grandaughter named Isabelle. Good luck to you, Shirley Holder Antrim

    1. [Dunn] Leander Dunn
    2. Hi all! I'm looking for more info on Leander Dunn. Middle name possibly "Evan". He was born to John W. Dunn & Mary Ann Evans in 1827 in Ohio and died Jan 1885 in Clark Co., MO. He was married to Katherine Jane Wilhoit (also searching for info on her) and they had 14 children I believe. I've found most of my info in the US Census. They also lived in Lee Co., Iowa at one time. Thanks for any help! Kerrie Hand [email protected]

    3. There was a Dunn-Martin connection, in S.C. in the 0ld 96th district (present Abbeville cnty). I have some info. on this connection somewhere, but cannot seem to find it now. This was a Franklin or James Martin if my memory serves correctly--most likely James. Try S.C. 3. Lynne: Thank you for letting me know. Just this morning while searching the census records, I found the brother of Mable Louise Kittell Dunn on the 1920 North Delta, CO census. Mable was always close to her brother George (and as usual the last name was spelled wrong on the census). So it appears George Kettell made his way to Delta Co. first. He was there on the January, 1920 census. Then Malendeth Dunn and his wife and family followed. Again, my appreciation. Will wait to hear from your friend. Liz Freeman In Oklahoma!
