Could Gordon St.be in Clyde Parish Glasgow ?? are you sure about the Clydebank connection??some people get mixed up with Clydebank,and living on the Banks of the River Clyde,which could be anywhere. Were Williams Parents Wiliiam Livingstone and Helen Brennan ??--I found this in the I.G.I. --if that's the case,then it must be Clyde Glasgow you are looking for. You should try to look at the 1871 census of Clyde Parish Glasgow,it may show you the whole family living at Gordon St.in Glasgow.You can find a list of census films at www.familysearch.org in the Catalogue.
