I am looking of information on my g-g-g-grandfather William Black who married Isabella Stewart on 31 Dec 1833 in Neilston Parish Renfrew. William was born around 1804 and died between 1845 and 1851. His occupation was a Coal Miner. Isabella was christened 11 Oct 1802 in Ardnamurchan Argyll and died 22 Oct 1885 in Macks Land, Baillieston, Old Monkland, Lanark. As of this moment I know they had at least six children: Walter Black born about 1834 in New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton Hugh Black born 15 Jul 1836 in Campsie Stirling. Hugh married Agnes Teesdale on 12 Jun 1857 in Dalserf, Lanark. William Black born about 1838 in Campsie Stirling John Black born 28 Jun 1840 in Govan, Renfrew Alison Black born about 1843 in Shettleston, Lanark who married Robert Morton in 1859 and Alexander Munro in 1873. James Black born about 1845 in Shettleston, Lanark. William’s place of birth is unknown. However, according to the 1841 census he was not born in Lanarkshire, even though at the time he was working there. Any information on William Black or his descendants would be appreciated. ie.
