Margaret was born in 1869 in Walker, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, UK Hugh and Elizabeth Campbell was visiting Newcastle Upon Tyne around 1869 but then they were living in Dumbarton, Dunbartonshire, Scotland by 1871. Margaret was the eldest child of Hugh and Elizabeth Campbell. Margaret had a sister named Jeanie and brothers named William, Alexander, John and Thomas Campbell.
