    3. Hi Gene, I noticed your message and thought maybe I could help. I'm certainly not an expert but I have been researching Dunbartonshire census records from 1841-1871, specifically in the parish of Row. There did appear to be many people listed in the census whose birthplace was Ireland. So I suspect many Irish immigrants did come to Dunbartonshire to work as farmers.
