Hello MM, I'm sorry but I don't know what guest book it was. I just clicked on the link. My gg grandfather is William Ferris Stirling, born 1/28/1842 in Virginia. His brothers and sisters, who were all believed to be born in Scotland, are: David, Margaret, Esther, and Mary. I have William Ferris Stirling's Death certificate that says his Father is David Stirling, born in Scotland, and Anna Ferrio (not sure on the spelling), born in Scotland as well. The VA census records for William Ferris Stirling say his father and mother are from Scotland as well. As far as where I got Duntocher from, William and his brother, David, moved to Ohio. David and his son, John "Bud" Stirling built a Civil War Memorial Band Stand in Gallipolis, OH. Below the memorial was written "Built by David Stirling, a native from Duntocher, Scotland and his son Bud Stirling." Hope that maybe you recognize some of these names. Thanks, David Stirling.
