Through the Genuki site I have found a good history of the 21st Scots Fusiliers of Foot but am not absolutely sure that a battalion was based at Dumbarton. I am interested in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Is there anyone on the list who knows which regiment was based at the Dumbarton barracks at that time in history or could confirm that it was the 21st Scots Fusiliers of Foot? Thanks. Dwina.
