Listers, some of you have already discovered this, but when you go to the LDS Family Search to find out what Dunbartonshire records are there, use Dumbarton, not Dunbartonshire (why, I'll never know) >From Front page go to: Custom Search Next Page: Library Catelog Next Page: Place Search Next page: (type in parish name...like Old Kilpatrick) Part of: Dumbarton (NOT Dunbartonshire) Then you know where to go from there.... If you want Dunbartonshire records in general...just type in Dumbarton again (NOT Dunbartonshire) It will bring up 2 choices: Dumbarton the parish Dumbarton, the shire I hope this helps.
