I wonder if someone who has access to the 1881 census could help me. My grandparents were married in 1883 in Renton. My grandfather Robert MELVILLE born 20 Dec 1862 lived at 90 Bridgend, Dumbarton. According to the marriage certificate. I presume he lived there with his family. His father was William Melvin/Melville his mother was Janet Liddell Melville who may have been deceased by then. his siblings were William Jr b. 1858 James b. 1860 Fanny Liddell b. 1865 Thomas b. 1868 Walter b. 1871 My grandmother Mary Buchanan b. 1863 she lived on Station Rd Renton with her father John Buchanan. Her mother was deceased at this time was Mary Denny I'm afraid I don't know the names of any of her siblings. Thank you Rosemary McLarty
