Thanks for taking the time to post a reply. >From your dates, it would appear that Agnes and William Loudoun were contemporaries of "my" Robert Loudon and Margaret Bryce. Interesting that family legend has the name of Robert Loudon's father as William, and also has him (William) disappearing on Saint Helena Island shortly before Napoleon's death there.
