Researching Daniel DEWAR and wife Mary PATERSON from Culloch. Culloch was found on an old map near Langfaulds and is mentioned in 1790s Statistical Account as a coal and limestone mining area. About 1805, baptisms in families from Culloch cease in parish records. What happened to Culloch? Where did the families go? Were there any newspapers which might have reported a mine disaster/closing c. 1805? Are these newspapers available for review? Thanks. Carol Miles
