Priscilla Margaret McKenzie was born in Bonhill, Dunbartonshire on 11.9.1864, the third child of Margaret Harre (b.1829 London) and Kenneth McKenzie (b. 1825, Duirinish, Skye). Kenneth McKenzie died 1870 and his wife Margaret in 1875. Their four children were then separated and at least two went to live with relatives. However Priscilla, according to her Australian death certificate, went in that year at the age of 10 or 11 to Australia. She died in 1890 of consumption (which she had had since childhood) at "The Home", Harmony ( a hospital for consumptives) and was buried at Upper Picton, New South Wales. Who did Priscilla go to Australia with? She is not listed as an assisted immigrant. Does anyone either in Australia or Dunbartonshire have any idea how I could continue my search? Many thanks.
