Without a name of deceased it may have been for any relative, who died anywhere, in Scotland. Bodies were often shipped back to home towns for burial. I had a quick look today whilst I was at the Fam. Hist. Centre for an Aitken d. 1893 at Cumbernauld, there was only one male, Matthew AITKEN age 61 # 18 on the index for Deaths in Scotland, since the # is 18 it could have been Feb. or March ? I don't know how many deaths there would be in a year in that parish. There was also a death of a John Aitken in 1893 age 59 at Dumbarton # 61 and a John Aitken (1893) OO age at New Kilpatrick # 302, places which would be fairly close to Cumbernauld but then so were a lot of other places. Do you have any idea of where the family lived, worked etc. it helps to pin down who would be dying where, at such and such a time.. I just realized I didn't look at the female names but could try next week if no one else comes up with anything on this for you. Hope you may recognise the name Matthew or John, too bad they died too late to get the records from Salt Lake, 1855-75 and 1881 + 1891 only, regards Maureen Kuzyk ms McOnie
