Betsy, if you found the marriage record on the IGI, hopefully, there should be a film listed...if you got the film of the original parish record, it may say, Peter Law "of" and Mary Bain "of", telling you where they were from...which, of course, doesn't mean they were born there...but at least it's a lead Then you go to that parish and see if you can find the Christening records....
