Hi Barbara, Yes - I have located the family on the 1881 census. The family, Potts is the primary line, seem to have lived in New Kilpatrick from about 1860 onwards. They were coal miners, originally from Ireland. When I checked the census there seemed to be a large number of Coal miners living in the area that were originally from Ireland. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this community. Sarah
