In 1851 I found only one Mary Campbell with father named as Archibald. I'm not sure if this is the right one but here is the info: Mary Campbell age: 7 Approx birth year: 1844 relationship: daughter father's name: Archd mother's name: Ann gender: female where born: Campbeltown, Argyle parish number: 507 civil parish: Campbeltown county: Argyle address: Main Street occupation: scholar Household members: Archd Campbell age: 45 Ann Campbell 44 Margt Campbell 22 Archd Campbell 17 Dond Campbell 13 John Campbell 10 David Campbell 9 Mary Campbell 7 Colin Campbell 2 The 1861 census lists only part of the family, as I presume others have moved on. It lists Father, Mother, Archd 27, John 23 and Colin 12. I tried to find Mary but there are so many Mary's that age living as servants that it would have been hard to find out which one she was. I also checked the 1861 census for a James and Mary Simpson but couldn't find anything. Don't know if any of this helps, but hopefully it does Laura Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
