We think that Elizabeth was probably born in Ireland but she married Edward CHESTER and died aged 58 yrs in 1880 in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire. The 1871 Census from Scot's People states Edward and Elizabeth were born in Ireland as were their children Mary (30) and David (28). Children Elizabeth (21) and Catherine (2) were born in Rutherglen. There are some big gaps between the children perhaps there are more. If you wish a copy of this census email me. Cheers!!! I have of course already traced the line back this far to be able to give the information I have. Are you related? You have not listed Edward b 14 March 1836. I know that Edward's parents were Edward Chesters and Mary Duncan, but the problem as you probably understand is in the records in Ireland. We simply dont know if the CHESTERS family originated in Ireland, went there for work, or maybe sent there. It is my paternal ancestry. Ellen who married Hugh was born in Dublin.
