You mentioned Dewar ROWAT I think and as he was born 8.July 1859 it should be possible to identify Robert's family hopefully from Robert Snr's death certificate as they were married pre registration in 1855. The ROWAT family married and intermarried in families such as HORN and STIRLING and I think its possible this lot might be related to Janet HORN. Do you have certificates in your records of Robert's death I wonder? I'll get back to you as soon as I have found the common ancestor.
