    3. Would you agree its better to have an open mind about these things and that an identical name must have a common ancestry somewhere, sometime? A variation of the name could be found in HORNE with HORN. People moved around to find work. Illegitimacy was not frowned upon earlier as it has been later in history. I was surprised this morning to find a ROWAT presence in Argyll, which I had not before but my Gt Gt Grandfather took himself off as far afield as Finhaven Castle, Forfarshire and he met his Mull born wife to be in Perth I'd be very happy to pitch in and help find a connection for anyone. The earlier records of course are difficult to link up with any certainty. We've a Janet HORN who married George MILLS on 21 July 1820 in Cumbernauld. The Agnes HORN I have was born Kirkintilloch 28 August 1744 and my records suggest it was in Dunbartonshire; I cant commit to memory about the changes in boundaries.
