Is there anyone out there researching the name ELTON? My gg-grandfather Arthur ELTON (probably born about 1815'ish) married Mary MARSHALL (about 1817) on 14 December, 1838. Their son Arthur ELTON (about 1849 - 1911) emigrated to Australia sometime before 1876 as that is the year he married in Victoria. I can find no record of his parents in Australian records so he must have come on his own. My Aunt said he came from Coatbridge and Dad found an elderly Aunt in Rutherglen who had done the family tree but Mum can't find it - Help Thanks in advance Vicki Elton Simpson simpson@ircnet.com.au
