Hello to all My interest in Dunbartonshire is in the birth there in Old Kilpatrick of my g grandmother Jane MACDONALD. Her father was Donald MACDONALD and her mother Christina MCCALLUM. I have found no record of their marriage but Donald came from Corriebeg, Argyll. I have also not been able to confirm anything about Christina but she must have died fairly soon after Jane was born as Donald moved on through Glasgow and ended up in Ayr where he remarried an Elizabeth KENNEDY in 1846. Jane would have been born in 1838 if her age is correct in the 1851 census. Hope there is someone there who may have suggestions or know of this family.
