    3. Hi Ken: You probably have this information, but thought I would copy and send it anyway. Dwelling: 229 Main Street Census Place: Bonhill, Dumbarton, Scotland Source: FHL Film 0203547 GRO Ref Volume 493 EnumDist 9 Page 21 Marr Age Sex Birthplace William MORTON M 25 M Bonhill, Dunbarton, Scotland Rel: Head Occ: Machine Printers Labourer Barbara MORTON M 23 F Tarbet, Stirling, Scotland Rel: Wife William MORTON 4 M Tarbet, Stirling, Scotland Rel: Son James MORTON 2 M Tarbet, Stirling, Scotland Rel: Son Robert MORTON 1 m M Bonhill, Dunbarton, Scotland Rel: Son I looked for Archibald and Ann Morton on the 1881 census, but did not find them. I am unsure if you have the copy of the marriage certficate. If so, does it indicate if the parents were deceased? As William was 25, he was born in either 1856 or 1855. Are you near a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? If so, check to see if they have the Scottish registry of Births, Marriages and Deaths. You could then order the copy of the birth certificate of William.( same would go for Barbara Jones). I am not sure about the early births, but the later ones indicate the date that the parents were married. You could also check the deaths in the index for Alexander, and Ann Gillespie. If they were found, you would be back another generation. You might just get lucky. Good luck. Isobel, Toronto, Ontario.
