Have you ever tried to get material from off-shore FHS such as booklets or information? Purchase price may seem reasonable, but add postage and exchange plus the purchase of the money instrument soon adds up. FHS often do the monuments which does not always cover the burial information sought. As Scotland's People site offers birth, marriage & census data at fairly reasonable costs, one might ask if the FHS isn't doing a duplication? Genealogy has become a big business and certain companies charge high fees to access information gathered by others. As a senior on a limited budget, I welcome access to any free information not to mention those who offer Acts of Random Kindness which allows me to persue my hobbhy (obsession?). Lauraine
