    3. I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather's family. Alexander Horn was born in Cumbernauld in 1858, married Isabella Mills in 1901. Alexander's parents were Alexander Horn (1835) and Agnes Strang (1837) and I *think* Alexander's senior's parents may have been James Horn and Janet Shearer. Alexander and Agnes had other children - Jean, James and Janet.     3. Interesting. My paternal line has a HORN married William ROWAT I don't know when either were born but they may have been married ca 1775 when their first son was born. I'll bear it in mind. You might like to bear in mind that there's quite a bit of intermarriage in these lines. I have a Margaret HORN married 1782 Alexander ROWAT.
