I didnt make the suggestion to post naming interests, to cause a problem. d;^) FWIW I have tried those surname lists and I didnt find they were useful. It is however worth doing, for the experience. The problem I found was that, with respect, they are subscribed to the majority of members who are outside of the United Kingdom, searching within their own country in the main, never really touching on the roots, when their roots probably were, in the UK, Scotland and England & Wales and N. Ireland when the majority of us are working backwards. > I dont want to cast a negative on this, just sharing my experience. > > Janet > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Barbara Lewis" <[email protected]> > > > Listers, remember there is a SURNAME INTERESTS list on the Dunbartonshire GenWeb site at: > http://www.rootsweb.com/~sctdnb/surnames.html > > I will be leaving for Britain in a week and won't be able to make changes to this for a month, so I'll be able to make additions or changes for the next 4 or 5 days.... > I'm hoping to bring home my English (London) fianc? back to America after a long long immigration hoopla!
