Dear Dunbartonshire listers, By now, many of you know that Rootsweb's mail lists are being moved to a new list management system. If you belong to a list that has already converted, you have seen how little has changed. What you will notice, though, is that: The "-L" is being dropped from the list name. Since you will now send list posts to and receive them from [email protected] , you may have to adjust your spam filters or put the new address on your "accept" list to prevent messages from being caught in your "junk" folders. Digest subscribers will notice a small difference in the layout, volume, and issue numbers of the list digests. If you have problems or concerns about your new digest format, please contact the list administrator at [email protected] . The bottom of each list post will now include list management instructions. Please remove this information (and any other non-pertinent text) before you post your reply to the list. If you "reply all," please make sure [email protected] is in the To: field. We recommend adding this address to your address book. The DUNBARTONSHIRE list is scheduled to be converted on ______(to be announced). We understand that you may receive our list welcome message at that time. If you do, don't let it throw you - your subscription is still valid. We will do our best to make the transition as seamless as possible for you. Please bear with us as we adjust to our new procedures. If you notice anything unusual (like messages posted to our list archives but not to your mailbox), please contact the list administrator at [email protected] . We expect that there may be a few ISP`s that will treat RW mail as SPAM. We shall see !! There have been reports that there have been some problems with AOL mail being treated as SPAM. Again, we shall see. If I receive any mail being returned as undeliverable, I shall notify you. Barbara Lewis (thanks to Wayne Hannay of the "Wigtownshire" list for the use of this notice)
