Hello everyone I am just curious if anyone can help me with this query, my grandfather William Gallacher, worked on the Canadian Pacific Railway, I am not sure even of which year. 1891 Census he was a 16 year old working in the mills, at Jamestown. He enlisted in the 3rd Royal Scots Fusiliers in 1914 and demobilized in 1919. Would anyone know if there was a group of men from the Bonhill/Jamestown area, who went to Canada as laborers, either before the war or afterwards, and perhaps which year. Any information would be gratefully appreciated. Regards Nancy Lynn [nee: Gallacher]
