Hi, I have an ALSTON in my line, my ggg grandmother Mary ALSTON married John PATON 08/09/1837. I do not know when she was born. they lived in Carnwath, Lanarkshire. I have a great deal of info about their descendants but nothing before the marriage. Ian GILLAN
