I have been away from the list for awhile and now that I am back I am reposting my interests. I am looking for information on HIGGINS that have lived in and around the Dunbarton area. I also recently found out that my great grandmother's brother, William GRIEVE moved from Greenock, Renfrew to Row, Dumbarton. William GRIEVE was born 6 Dec 1848 in Greenock, Renfrew, Sct. He married Agnes Maitland GEMMILL (b. 13 May 1852 in Girvan, Ayr, Sct) in Jul 1871 in Tradeston, Glasgow, Lanark, Sct. They had the following children: Mary Harvey GRIEVE (b. 11 Jan 1872 in Tradeston, Glasgow, Lanark, Sct.) Thomas GRIEVE (b. 25 Mar 1873 in Hutchesontown, Glasgow, Lanark, Sct.) Isabella GRIEVE (b. 20 Nov 1874 in Row, Dunbarton, Sct.) Agnes GRIEVE (b. 1877 in Helensburgh, Dunbarton, Sct.) Jane G. GRIEVE (b. 1878 in Helensburgh, Dunbarton, Sct.) Jemima G. GRIEVE (b. 1881 in Helensburgh, Dunbarton, Sct.) On the 1881 census the family is found living at 178 E. Princes St. Row, Dumbarton, Scotland. William GRIEVE is aged 31 and working as a Tinsmith.
