The Scottish government has a website for which you must pay for copies of the birth, death, marriage and census certificates. The website is http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk You will see from the site. The fee is fairly reasonable, but does get expensive as your tree grows! You can get a lot of information from the Later Day Saints site for free: http://www.familysearch.org Don't give up on this site. There may be other information that you can use. The census transcriptions (although sometimes can contain errors) are invaluable for determining the children born to couples, names, etc. There are military records, and more that may be useful. Hope this information helps. Sandy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
