Hoping to find further information regarding Henry Crichton monk of Dunfermline and later Abbot of Paisley (abt 1459-1471). Especially interested in whether there were any family ties between Henry and William Crichton, the latter became chancellor and took possesion of Edinburgh Castle around 1438-40....I believe William Crichton of the family who held large estates in the Lothians?   Abbot Henry Crichton started the rental roll in Dunbartonshire in 1460.   Thanks Janice
