Greetings: I just joined this list a short time ago and am searching for the information on the following: Donald Murray of Renton, Dunbarton-Cardross. He worked as a manager at the Dye Works and had four sons - Hugh, John, Archie and Donald. Young Donald was killed about 1943 in the war. Donald Sr received a Purple Heart Medal from the United States for his son. Donald's sister Margaret married William Cunningham and had James, Effie and John. Effie married Mr MacFarland and had a daughter named Margaret who married William McLean and had twins John and Margaret and one other Anne. Donald's sons I was told moved away - possibly to the Manchester, England area. Donald is supposed to have died around 1960 and would have been in his 90's at that time.
