Hello everyone, I am posting another name in my interests. Is anyone searching this name, by any chance?. I need to find the birth to find the parents, of one David KIRKPATRICK, don't know where, but the name has strong Scots origins. He was born 1783. I only know that because I found him in Cheshire Parish Registers named on his daughter's marriage. He died before his daughter was married; worth making the point because he wasn't named there as having deceased. He was a Master Mariner when he married on 10th May 1818 in Liverpool - I have a copy of his Marriage Bond, and in the Polls Register 1824 a Surgeon at 130 Park Lane Liverpool, as he was when I found his death, again in the Cheshire Parish Registers in 1837. The Scots origin of this name is too strong in history for me to let the possibility go; the KIRKPATRICKS of Closeburn are notorious. I guess I ought to have joined a Dumfries list, but thought it was worth posting here before I do. Janet
