Hi, I assume you are looking for her death in scotlandspeople. Did you look for her under both her maiden name and married name? Did you type in McFarlane with eth e ate the end and without? Have you found her husband's death to see if he was married or widower to Janet when he died.? That would give you a time scale. Is it possible he died and she went back to Dunbartonshire? Have you found them in the 1841 /1851/1861 census to see if they are still around and what district they possibly died? You have not given her husbands name but I guess it may be McColl after checking family search. McColl may also be under McCall.
