-Hello from N.Z to everyone on the list.My 4th great grandfather was Rev. Duncan McAllum,born 1751,died 1834.He was a Gaelic Highland preacher who became a Methodist Minister as did one of his sons,Dr.Daniel McAllum.I have no place of birth or death for Duncan.His father also called Duncan McAllum was tutor and Baille for the duke of Argyll.I read in The Argyll Particular Register of Sasines 1676 to 1780 that Duncan McAllum tutor of Dunmore was at Dumbarton 25/7/1701 as a witness.Desperately need help with thes names.Rev. Duncan McAllum married Elizabeth Livingstone 14th Jan 1784 at Inverness.Their son Duncan McAllum(my 3rd great grandfather) was born 6th April at Aberdeen and christened at St.Nicholas Church Aberdeen.Any help or suggestions gratefully recieved.Thank you.Ian Duncan McAllum.
