    3. Hi Lois, I am grateful to you for your interest in finding the records you have posted here. I've been offline for a few days - server problems, long story. My interest is in that my Dunbartonshire family apparently knew the PARK family and that they intermarried with one born in Ireland. Its the earlier Irish record of the family CHESTER or CHESTERS who married Elizabeth PARK who was born 1822. When we find that our family we thought were Scots but not so, Irish, we need the truth and this is my reason for pursuing them. I believe the era might have been about the time of the Potato famine in that my Edward CHESTER was born 1811 to Edward Chester and Mary Duncan b. Ireland 1780. I have long thought the CHESTER folk might have originated in England, from the City of that name that was a tug of war subject between the Scots and the English way back when Northumberland was in Scottish hands. Check out "Cilurnum" in Google and you will find a Fort of the same name, translated as CHESTERS on Hadrians Wall. I need to go back further than the records you have supplied though those you have listed here I will keep. Thanks.
