    3. Hi pam There is a orchardton road in Westfield, Dunbartonshire. So that may give you a little clue as to the whereabout that farm may have been. I am still trying to pull up the old map of the area but as per usual when you need the internet sites and servers to work, they fail you. I will keep trying Rik todd -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Saturday, November 18, 2006 12:13 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [DUNB] Place Name Help Hi Pam, In my Topographical Dictionary of Scotland, by Lewis, I found an ORCHARTON Bay, Sorbie. Sorbie is a parish in the district of Machers, county of Wigtown. KIRKINTILLOCH is a burgh of barony and a parish in the county of Dumbarton. Sorry I couldn't find anything about Archardton. I suspect this was a farm or estate as my great-great grandfather, ARCHIBALD MCINTYRE was a ploughman there in 1860. Any help with this location would be greatly appreciated.
