    3. G'day Chester, >Dear List Members, > I am at present, with reference to the comment from Len, >attempting to shorten the list name or I could eliminate it entirely >but in doing so I have no idea whether your message is sent to this >list or some other. If the rootsweb staff are able to abbreviate the Not quite sure why the "[DUNBARTONSHIRE-GENWEB-L]" has to appear at all. I also subscribe to CFT-WIN-L@rootsweb.com and we get "normal" looking Subject Headers. When we (I) post to the list I send To: DUNBARTONSHIRE-GENWEB-L@rootsweb.com Surely THAT address tells Rootsweb where the message belongs. I do NOT put the "[DUNBARTONSHIRE-GENWEB-L]" in MY subject line but I noticed that appears in the message that appears in the "list" so it is something that "you" (the system) seems to ADD. You may like to ask the list owner of CFT-WIN, George W. Durman, sgtgeorg@concentric.net what he does to prevent the addition. For George: I hope you do not mind me copying this to you. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. HURU, Mike
