Would be grateful for any help solving this problem. In 1841 JOHN BARRON is shown in Cumbernauld age 68 being born in Ireland As he is not shown in 1851 with his family I assume he will have died 1841-51 I am unable to find his burial record in Cumbernauld or those for his children JEAN BARRON who died 14 March 1855 or JAMES BARRON who died 15 September 1857 and are both shown as being buried in the Cumbernauld Churchyard. As John was born in Ireland it's possible he was of the Catholic faith Does anyone know whether Cumbernauld had a Roman Catholic church or suggest how I can find the records.
